Can anyone explain the priority code relevance? Does a priority code 10 mean a faster delivery, than a priority code 17? Is 17 faster to build than a 99?

I'm sure there's a thread on this already but I haven't found it.

Ask your dealer. Only he can really explain HIS priority codes. They have nothing to do with Ford.....
Pretty much this. The dealer assigns whatever priority code he wants, but they are generally pulled for production in numerical order. So a 10 will go before a 20.

So a 10 from one dealer means a quicker fulfillment than a 17 from another?

No, your priority code is only relevant to your dealer. you can get a code 20 from one and a code of 30 from another depending on how that dealer does things that 30 could beat the 20 from another dealer. Kinda hard to explain hope this helps.

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of. Here is my situation. I read about the trouble finding a MSRP dealer so I wrote down all the dealers around my area and started calling. After about 10 calls, I found a few that would sell @ MSRP so I told them what I wanted. Having just been through the racket with another dealer, I wasn't going to consider my mission complete until I got a confirmed order. Well, I got a confirmed order from one dealer and quit. In the following days another call dealer called saying they were ready to order and wanted a deposit (first dealer didn't ask for one). The dealer that wants the deposit has a higher priority order than the first dealer that made the order. I'm trying yo decide if paying the deposit will get my truck faster.

It's really hard to tell. I would say just order it as soon as you can so you have a better chance of being pulled for production.

The answers above were pretty accurate. The same number priority code at different dealers doesn't mean the same thing. 10 is the highest priority code for a retail order.

Ask each dealer how many Raptor allocation they got and what number your order would be. That will help in determining which dealer you may be able to get the truck from quicker. Just FYI there is no full proof way of determine from that info either though.

I would ask each dealer how many allocations they have, and in what order of those allocations would yours fall (i.e. 4 of 5, 10 of 20, etc.). I would then ask if they have had any orders pulled for production yet, and if so how many.

That would give you the best info you're going to get to make a decision, but there are not guarantees.

I honestly wouldn't trust a dealer that doesn't take some kind of deposit to be honest.
