Pre-collison sensor disable

Also, am I crazy or are there two completely different sensors being discussed here? My understanding is that the pre-collision and adaptive cruise function use a sensor behind the front bumper, while the lane-keeping, auto high beam, and auto wipers are controlled by a camera by the inside rear view mirror.

There must be two. I have an 801a and mine fires off when I'm passing. I always build speed before pulling out and it gets all excited on me. Annoying, but I haven't turned it off.

this is confusing because I’ve read about camera and/or radar based pre collision tech, the manual mentions both but I can’t find any sensor (the camera is in the rear view mirror), I have a frame cut bumper and no adaptive cruise and I can’t see any sensor in the grille. and since it’s easy to turn off I don’t understand the insurance discount either

There have been a few changes over the last few years. 2017 had adaptive cruise control with a HUD that would light up to warn you about a collision but wouldn't brake to a stop for you. This just used the ACC module in the front bumper.

Now there is Adaptive cruise control with stop and go. This uses the ACC module w/CADS in the bumper and the IPMA camera in the rearview mirror. This will stop/etc. The HUD alert was removed and its in the IPC now.

There is also pre collision w/AEB. This comes without Adaptive cruise control on later models and uses the IPMA camera in the rearview mirror to detect and slow/stop the truck. I don't know the Raptor Years specifically but should be on your window sticker.

My 17 with 802a will brake for me, its also not as sensitive as y'all claim. Maybe y'all need a recalibration? or not drive aggressively?

I fixed it. I meant brake to a complete stop.

Um, no. I pushed mine once, nine months ago. It's still off.

We've got 4 people driving this thing. I'm preset 2 in the truck. I wonder if the Lane Keep on/off feature is part of that. I'll have to go out and mess with it today.
