Is anyone's powered tailgate making noises...?

Mine recently developed a LOUD plastic snapping sound...like a rigid plastic panel is being flicked creating a snapping sound right before the tailgate closes.
Concerning is that I saw broken orange plastic bits inside the tailgate slots (thinking they are drain slots)...which I can't access.
Dealer told me to bring it in...wondering if anyone else experienced this.

I haven't really used the tailgate all that much other than when I installed my bed cover.

Powered tailgate. A solution in search of a problem. Why on God's Earth would anyone want another electronic doodad on their truck? I mean, great the tailgate powers down as you approach with an armful of stuff. You still have to put it in the truck, so clearly your arms aren't broken.

It also closes by itself... powered meaning open and close.

I remember my grandfather saying the same thing about power windows.
And again, when he found out about power seats.

I haven't seen any pieces of plastic or anything but every time I close the tailgate there is a loud click. Is it possibly "normal" for this power tailgate? Coming from a 2019 F350 that was 100% manual and no loud clicking when closing.

NO 5hit, Sherlock. Thanks for clearing that up. My comments still stand. Actually, there is less than zero excuse for needing it to power close. I can maybe see a tiny justification for power opening. But not really. Prats that want a power tailgate are the reason Raptors cost $75,000. Idiots.

Not really... the power tailgate was an option... came included with the panoramic roof....I guess we don't need that either?
Might as well get rid of the 10 speed auto too.
Hell, get rid of power brakes and power steering.
No one needs that... lol
