The part I don’t understand is that before our trucks go to production I thought they have all parts gathered for the build???

LOL, Ford doesn't have a clue of what they have and don't have. It is literally a sh&$ show of epic proportions. They can't even get their trackers to work 80% of the time.

I am guessing that a lot of these big manufactures in all different industries are running a just in time inventory system. when this covid thing started it was just a matter of time to screw everything up. it was inevitable. all inventories from there suppliers are used up. the suppliers now cant get material to make the parts for the end user. and now all the consumers get hurt with higher priced and longer wait times. from the beginning of covid til now is how long it'll take to maybe get back to normal. that is if it doesn't get worse than it already is. Hopefully I am wrong.

Well, had order all lined out. Then they need a $1000 non-refundable discount. I ask what happens if truck never shows up? Crickets.

dont go there. non refundable is BS. with all the dealers I went to nobody said non refundable. the raptor is always demanded. they will sell it. if you had some strange options picked that would give them problems I could see non refundable.
