Power steering whine / groan

Since we have had such cold weather, the power steering pump groans and whines all the time (2012 Raptor w/ 37k miles). It happens just idling and also while driving. Is this just temperature related, or sound like a legitimate issue? I guess I need to check fluid for starters, but curious if this is a weak link?

Check for leaks, I had a power steering pressure hose leaking that was causing a whine as well.

Mine does this too , just on the very cold days. Once the truck is warmed up its gone.

Probably just low fluid....if its low and really cold out the thicker oil might pull some air in until it thins out.

Mine did that, fluid was 1/8 inch low, thought that can't be it, added fluid and it went away.
