I need to have my WSI Warthog bumper coated with something more than spray paint to stand up against the winter elements. To solve the problem I was going to have it powder coated, but the more I think about it the more I wonder if getting it Line-X'd would be a better decision.

If I get it powder coated, it will be a very sleek, gloss black color, and it shouldn't get scratched or chipped very easily. If I get it Line-X'd it will have the tough, rugged black coating that I'm positive can take a beating without showing signs of wear. However, I worry about how it will look sitting right next to the paint on the truck.

Any pictures or input will be greatly appreciated!

Hey bud, I've had my light bar Line-X coated and I love the finish of it! It looks great against my black finish and I have no regrets about going to Line-X instead of powder coating that it was originally coated it

I didn't realize yours was powder coated before you got it Line-X'd. So it scratched pretty easily from someone in a Wal-Mart parking lot? And have you had any fading with the Line-X?

Yupp mine used to be powder coated but it got knicks and scratches in it. The line-x never faded or anything. I hit a buggy one day at Walmart parking lot and sent it rolling across the parking lot but it didn't do a thing. Some moron left it and I didn't see it.

Had both and the power coat looked like crap after 1 winter. Did the rear in line-x 2 years ago and it still looks great! Just had the front done I had it done with the premium.

Here is teh rear I had done not in premium 2 years ago. It will be redone uning the premium this summer because I need to cut out the top and change the plate mount.
