Hi I am close to pulling the trigger on a 2010 Raptor but still unsure on the deal.

It's pretty loaded, Sat Nav, leather & Sony sound system with 50k on the clock and its certified. The dealer wants 38k which may be a reasonable price but here is my issue.....they have had it since Feb. This concerns me because normally these things sell pretty quick.

I have the original sticker from 2010 and it sold for $43.5....not much of a price difference.

What should I be looking for? I can't see any abuse on the thing both on body work and interior. Also looked underneath and there isn't any signs of wear.

Feedback welcome

Hello.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of a budget have you set. Depending on what options you're willing to sacrifice, you could order a 13 at invoice for a little bit more. A completely base scab is $39,800 at invoice if I remember correctly.

Also, what engine does it have?

Welcome! Like said above, depending on your budget you might be better off going with a 13.

$38k for having 50k miles and it's a 2010 I know I would pass. You could find a 2011 for that or just I little more.

Sad part is blue book puts it at $40k with the 5.4 and retail. CPO was $41k and that's without adding every option.

Wow . Although it makes me kind of happy to see such a high resale value on these trucks I have to say that it almost does not make sense to buy used, unless for quick availability. You also have to watch out for the way how the truck was used.

Like everyone has pointed out for a bit more money you can get a brand new truck.

Welcome to the forum!

Here is my take on it so far from someone else in the market for one. I have been looking at and have had a couple of friends (car dealers) looking for a used option for me because I was of the mindset that I couldn't afford a new '13. However, the more I look and work the numbers, etc I am fast approaching the conclusion that I may have to find a new '13 and then beat the living crap out of the dealer that has it so that I get the price I am looking for. If I can find a stripped down version of a '13 under $45K then I may just have to snag that up quick....
