Out with the old...

I snapped some pics before the new owner drove off with my '10 Ram2500. Raptor is avalanche grey, and Ram is bright silver metallic.

I took measurements for comparison. Ram is stock except for 35/12.5's on factory 17's.

The main difference is Raptor is 6" wider at the tires, yet 5" narrower at the mirrors (10" if the Ram mirrors are flipped out).

Total height at cab, Ram 1" taller, but has a 4" taller seat height from the ground. Box side height is 1" taller on the Ram.

Total bumper to bumper length is 2" longer on the Ram (6'4"box). Box interior length (both with drop in liners) is 8" longer for the Ram, but only 6.5" longer with tailgates down.

So...truck dimensions are more similar than it feels in person. The Raptor is a lot taller than it looks, due to the wide stance I suspect. The Ford interior feels way bigger, and I think the back is way more useable as well.

Looking forward to getting used to my new rig. Gonna miss the Cummins torque but the 10speed is gonna help with that I suspect!

Good comparison but take that dealer sticker off the applique...
Unless you own the dealership of course.

Haha that was my idea. They said they are supposed to put it on the truck but offered to skip it. I went with the black on black for the kinda understated effect. It probably shows up less in person.

Nice truck Bailer, I was guessing you're in Lloyd with that Pete in the driveway behind you... but you don't have much snow in those pics!

I went Ram to Avalanche Raptor as well, definitely loving the all the new tech. And the color works great for Canadian salty winter roads, so easy to keep clean compared to black.

Here's a rear shot of mine in the snow:

So you said it's OK to advertise your dealership on my truck for free?

Haha, apparently.
You'll notice the Ram was still sportin' a big dealer advertisement in the back window too. I guess if I like the look and the dealer, I don't mind the advertising. I always like seeing where trucks are from so I guess that's why I have always left them on.

Haha, good eye on the Pete. I'm in S'toon actually. I used to farm so I kinda like when the neighbor shows up with his rig!

Your truck looks great, love the rims.
