Raptizzle, thanks for the info. I'm probably worrying too much about it but I'm working the seam all the way up to the fender brace. Just a body hammer and some forearm muscles like Popeye. I'll post some pics of mine when done just for reference. BTW, I'd kill for those fender wells! Nice work!

Strange. I've seen 37 Grabbers cut to shit by the pinch weld on the firewall?! Just a big slice all the way around the tire where it hits under compression with the steering centered/straight. The truck was running stock Foxes and UCAs too. Confusing. It almost seems like there are (not so) slight differences in each truck. I think I'll continue on with my belt and suspenders type firewall mod. If mine rubs I'll have to recess the firewall! Again, thanks for the info!

Trimming the firewall is not a necessity, at least in my opinion and with my setup. I'm running 17" methods and 37" grabbers. I do rub on the front on full turns only when the front end is compressed. Nothing major though.
