I installed the same two wire model, no problems, just followed the instructions.
Attention must be paid to the shimming of the unit to allow free movement.
I took the time to run the wiring through the frame with some extra protection at shaving points.

it looks like they want you to tap into the lock and unlock motor wires. is that what you did? it would be better if they provided relays.

I Would bet complicated with relays but could be done.

its a 5wire reverse polarity setup. anytime we add power locks in a vehicle that didnt have them to start with, we have to use 2 relays. it only takes a few minutes to wire up. i can try to post some more info if anyone is interested

I looked the current draw on that circuit when locking and it's not very much then stock

I found a bunch of these two wire units left over I had laying around. I did this install used the brackets and bent it to conform to fit. Two screws hold it in place. Ran wires to drivers door and used grey/brown and blue/green, motor actuator wire. I have NOS units and they work perfect. About 15 years old if I were guessing. Just need positive 12 volt circuit. It reverses polarity to unlock.....
