Almost, but not quite.
Yabut, nobody knows what the MPGs would be without the 10 speed transmission and a few hundred more lbs. One can only speculate.
But it's still less laggy than a N/A V8.

It's almost as if you don't know what boost lag is.

There are plenty of reasons not to like this engine. For starters, the engine itself doesn't get any better fuel mileage out here in the real world. The 10 speed transmission and lighter weight body are responsible for any real world savings. Plus it sounds like dog shit and boost lag sucks. Its reliability is also a question mark.

I don't know why people are so defensive about this little engine. Just drive it and enjoy it if you like it. It shouldn't bother you that not everyone wants one.

It's not for everyone! I like my 14 and not sure I don't need two yet...my wife thinks otherwise.

I think I do since I've been playing around with turbo cars since 1988 and i've owned 3 Ecoboost F150s....and the 2017 Ecoboosts have electronic wastegates which have virtually no boost lag.

We're already backsliding to "virtually" no boost lag now, eh? This is, of course, as opposed to a n/a engine which has precisely zero.

Precisely zero low end torque which is very laggy?
