Relative to the Shelby Baja 700, I have less restriction on both the intake and exhaust side and I'm one pulley size down. So I think it's closer to 750. And I don't think it's adequate. I think it's overkill. But I like that. If/when the factory short block gets tired on me, I plan to go bigger displacement and do the heads and cams.
I'm really glad you're happy with your truck. I think they're awesome. Ford made a lot of improvements they learned by watching this forum. And if they ever put a V8 in it again (admittedly looking unlikely these days) I'd love to park a new white one next to my current black one.
I just don't know why people have to get all weird and defensive and start talking about ***** and butts and circlejerks and ************ when people complain about the terrible exhaust note, which the aftermarket isn't going to be able to fix.
That's nut's man. lol...and yeah, probably overkill.
And please don't get too caught up in the mental ************ comment. Point is that, for me, at the end of the day I feel like I'd be biting my nose to spite my face if I were to sacrifice having what to me is a better (stock) truck just to keep the sound. That's all. Honestly man, I wasn't expecting it to even sound as good as it does. We've had everything from an Audi RS4 (V8) to a BMW M-Coupe (V6) to a Toyota FJ Cruiser. The Audi was a monster and sounded the part but the M-coupe didn't sound as good but was bad-ass as well. As long the it performs as it should, I'm good. I'll work on the sound later
