Ford has built an iconic vehicle. In relation to other vehicles on the road there is not many Raptors out there. When people see them they give it an extra look, maybe a wave or a thumbs up. They know it’s a special breed and not a run of the mill F150. We have a phenomenal truck so enjoy the ride and the attention. As far as everyone wanting to race, although it’s pretty quick it is not a dragster for street use. Anyone wanting to race take him to the woods, dirt, hills, and mud then tell him “let’s go”. Lots of vehicles on the road will out run you and proves nothing so don’t do it. Tickets are expensive!

As a cop myself in a metropolitan area, I pay no extra attention to nice vehicles, other than the normal, “nice ride you got!” It’s the wanna be guys who are looking to race everyone even though they have nothing to race with. Those guys are the ones who create hazardous conditions on the roadways.......the same roadways my family drives on and yours. Trust me, even if a nice truck or sports car hits the throttle at a stop light, I don’t get worked up as long as they do it with some common sense in a way not to cause danger to others.

Just some FYI, sometimes there are occasions where police are on the lookout for a stolen vehicle, one that may match the physical description of the one you’re driving. In those cases, they may be following you while they run the registration plate to see if it’s the one they are looking for. If not, they will pull off or go on.

When I had my white 2011 Raptor with a ADD stealth front bumper and a light bar, a lot of drivers I came up on from behind thought I was a cop. Back then a lot of drivers didn't even know what a Raptor was. And most of the green planet people are hypocrites so I love pissing them off.
If you have a RED Raptor your screwed.

I was just telling my buddies that everytime I encounter a Jeep SRT Grand Cherokee the driver seems to think Im racing.. I'm sure those Jeeps are much faster than my Gen1 so Ive never tried to prove anything, but they sure like to fly down the street. probably had 4 or 5 encounters with different SRT's

I got my first ticket in 8 years a couple weeks ago. Improper turn. Turned right at a light but went into the middle lane instead of far right. It was a motorcycle cop, first one I've ever seen in my area. I could see him staring at me as I made the turn. I had no idea that was a law, I do it all day every day probably thousands of times in my life. I was just commenting to my wife about it being the first motorcycle cop I've seen around here when I see him in the rear view mirror pull a u-turn in the middle of traffic and zoom up on me. The guy was a complete ****, rude as shit. He asked if I knew why he pulled me over and I said no. He said I made an improper turn going into the middle lane on a right turn. I told him I'd never heard of the rule. He says I should have paid more attention on my driver's test. You know, that one I took 14 years ago when I was 16, in another state that may have different rules. He goes back to his bike and sits there for over 20 minutes. Then walks around the truck 2 full times looking it up and down, trying to find ANYTHING he could to write me up for. Then slaps me a citation and drives off without a have a good day or anything. Total ****. Only had my Raptor about 2 months. I have 2 other cars and a bike and never get a second look from the cops any other time.
