GEN 1 Pod light locations

I found a great deal on so Rigid D Pro cube lights. I’m looking at getting 4 white driving patterns and 2 amber driving patterns. I’m trying to decide where to put them

1. All on the bumper
2. 1 at each A pillar and 4 on the bumper
3. White and amber on A pillar and 2 whites on the bumper.

With option 2 would you put the white or Amber at the pillar?

With option 3, has anyone ever put a pair of lights on the pillars and if so put all 4 whites on the pillars and amber on the bumper?

Thoughts? 6 lights total and where to put them

the whole point to forward amber lights is that they are best for visibility in foggy situations. amber light is best for fog due to the wavelength of light. also, the lower the light, the less refraction you have and that means visibility is greater. having pillar lights in fog and snow is a terrible idea. it creates a whiteout scenario. while pilar lights are useful, just dont use in snow and fog, even with an amber light. the setup i have on my truck has several cubes in various locations, but one thing i did do was put amber lights as low as i could and facing straight ahead so they can be useful in the conditions mentioned above. the white cubes are all over the place though, i got them spread out in an arc on each side of my truck giving me side lighting. depending on what bumper you are using, will determine what mounting locations you will have available

I run snap on amber covers on all my lights in snow or fog. Rigid makes them they work good.

Here's mine: Spots at the a pillars, driving lights and side shooters in the low mount position. Works good, I think if I was doing it again I would only run 1 set of driving lights and change out the others for a second set of spots or hyper spots. The gains from 2 driving pattern lights just aren't there at the range they operate in, because of this I normally run amber covers on the DSS to get a little more versatility and wavelength.

Thanks guys. I think I’m gonna mount them all on the bumper. I’m running an ADD lite front so they’ll just be lined up across that. Thanks for all the good responses.
