GEN 2 Please help!! Transmission Popping when shifting into drive

I have a 2017 Raptor with 36k. About 3 weeks ago I started noticing that the the transmission pops/jumps a bit when I shift into drive. Otherwise it drives normal. I have an appointment at the Ford Dealership next week and am wondering if anyone has any ideas what the problem could be. Thank you very much.

had the same issue in my 18 with 19k miles. Took it to the dealer they did the trans reflash and haven't had an issue since

I reset the trans adaptive learning using forscan, very smooth now...I also had harsh shifting 3-4-5. The reset helped that as well...that lunging into drive or reverse was horrible

Same for my 2017 with 28k miles. Happened in February and again in September. Each time they claimed a different TSB / updated calibration / reset. Hoping this doesn't become an every 6 month reset to workaround poor design.

Didn’t they come out with transmission software update for the Gen 2 because of the excessive shifting while driving? I bought the vehicle used and noticed something about it in the service records.

I had this issue start with the popping on start up in and out of Revese and to drive. Along with hard3-4-5 shifts up and down the shifting sequence, randomly. It started around 20k. Dealer did the reflash, went away for awhile. Came back now at 33K and a worse/ harder popping. Making an appointment soon to take it in and have them look at the front axle passenger side seal to CV joint is leaking grease. And they rounded off a few lug nuts I’ve found while trying to rotate the tires.
