Lacking any idea where to put this I started it in video and electronics forum. I figure if I am wrong a Moderator will swoop in and move it anyway.. Are we there yet?..
So I have been using gopro cameras for awhile and although I think they are pretty good and have really brought some great videos to the web for us all to share. I feel they are lacking and one of the major lacking points is first person view and being hands free while filming from the film makers perspective. Being an avid shooter and one of the leading wasters of ammo in the world, I can never get the gopro to look down a weapon easily or where I want. So I searched for things to mount, make my own mounts and ideas from others via the world wide web. Not much is out there..
So I find these Pivothead first person glasses, spy type glasses. I am learning had them only two days but have about 25 gig recorded so far. One thing they tell you is a lie, is that they record for about 90 minutes. I have tried everything and after 5 attempts the most I can do is about 63 minutes.. It has 8gb memory but I have only managed about 7gb filled ever.. I guess I have a fat head as the fit is really tight.. Overall I think they are great for what they are, limited first person camera but the picture really is good. I am posting a clip to you tube so people can see for themselves what you get... The good is that where ever you look is what the camera records so compared to most gopro mounts its great.. If you want to be a little stealthy when recording these are far better then a gopro which stands out like a sore thumb.. The camera is clearly visible if you look for it.. The price is less than a gopro and does less than a gopro.. No quick memory change or battery change, so your time is limited to about an hour.
Software: I have played with the desktop software and it is not bad overall. Easy to follow and lets you set the camera up for easy control of what you will record and how.. you can download the software anytime but to actually use the software requires the glasses be connected..

Ok here is a video link... Straight copy to you tube form making it with movie maker.. Nothing fancy I can do editing, but wanted to show it how, it looks..
