OH the outside of the A-Pillars. I dunno why I was expecting the inside of the truck with boost gauges and etc lol.

As a complete lighting novice, how is the XL80 light output in a driving combo versus say a LP4 spot? Would the forum tend to recommend one versus the other? And preferred mount being Alternative Off-road or SDHQ? Is glare a function of proper aiming or just a light pattern being incorrect for mounting position?

Our go to for A-pillars has always been the XL80's. The sheer amount of light they put it out is hard to beat. The LP4 is a popular option as well, but the with the side emitting LED's, you tend to get a lot of light wash across your hood which leads to glare. We find blacking out the inward facing LED's minimizes that. We've got both LP4's and XL80's good in stock along with plenty of hood mounts.

IMO you want spot lenses for pillar lights. They’re much higher than the headlights and less easily obstructed, so you get a lot of extra distance, enhanced perspective and less likely that the beams are obstructed by brush. The downside of ditch lights is in dusty conditions they just create white out or yellow out ( ewww...). You can always turn them off.
