Is anyone up for a drive this Sunday 8-4-13?

I have a friend who knows a lot of shorter length trails we could drive in Wickenburg including box canyon. He also knows of an easy jump we can try. Possibly drive a trail or 2, have dinner, drive another and return.

Who would like to go? I know it is short notice. I was trying to plan for next month, but everyone seems to have a conflict.

I only want to do this trip is we can get at least 3 trucks to join.

Meeting time is noon. We can decide where to meet after we see who is going.

You guys should check out the Constellation Rd - Buckhorn Creek Rd - N Castle Hot Springs route out of Wickenburg, it's a fun run that'll take you a couple of hours. It's also on the stock Nav system so it's really easy to find.

It starts out of the main intersection in Wickenburg and runs up Constellation Road until it spurs off on Buckhorn, then you follow that all the way until a T intersection with Castle Hot Springs, and follow that down south to the 74. It's a fun run.

I can give you more specifics if you need.

Also N. Vulture Peak Rd off of Vulture Mine Road Southwest of Wickenburg is a fun little run too. Some nice smooth jumps and sandy canyons. I dunno if I'm telling you things you already know. Just trying to help you out. I don't recommend doing the whole Vulture Peak trail to the Hassayampa unless you like desert pin stripes and lots of rocks.

How is the Constellation Rd - Buckhorn Creek Rd - N Castle Hot Springs route out of Wickenburg road? I am mainly concerned with desert pin striping.

Constellation-Buckhorn-NCHS Rd is nice and wide with no worries of pin-striping. Lots of fast canyon sections along with a few mildly tech dry creek bed crossings. Also on NCHS Rd there's some places that may be a little annoying to get through due to flooding. There was one point last time where the monsoons had eroded around a big slab of concrete at the bottom of a wash crossing, with a little work everyone made it through with no damage. It's honestly a really good one to take a group on since it's beginner friendly and on the stock Nav.

Vulture peak is also good to a point. When it comes out of the canyons at the south end of the main road, just turn around and run it again going north.

I'd go but I'll be in Barstow this weekend. Getting PHX guys together seems to be like pulling teeth at times.

Trevor, I had been thinking about meeting up monthly or something at the Food Truck Friday event downtown for lunch. Plenty of parking and lots of good food. Maybe if we can get people together like that we can have more success getting runs together.

Detailed this thread too...I'm terrible man.

I am not familiar with the event, but I would be in. Just let me know when. If I don't see your post, please send a PM.

Would definitely join. However, my truck doesn't get delivered until this coming week. Hope to pick it up Wednesday or Thursday.

Count me in for future runs.
