Perimeter Plus security system

Is this thing worth getting for extra security or no? Can't really find a whole lot of info except for an old thread on this site. Any experience with it?

Not sure about this product but I was happy to find the Securialert feature in the Ford pass app. Sends you notifications anytime the doors or tailgate are opened.

unfortunately I turned it off. I am in and out a lot thru the day for tools. work etc. you'd think it wouldn't alert you you if your key fob or the code on the door was entered correctly. every time. its annoying as hell.. just please FORD. change it to unauthorized openings only. I don't need to be alerted if I open the damn door. I think I already know.

I guess other than that its a pretty good security system IMO

My Gen 2 Ford Pass app only alerts me when the factory alarm goes off. Try rolling a window down, locking the doors, then reach in and open the door handle from the inside. Does the app send you an alert?

You can set a schedule so it only alerts you during certain periods (I.e. only at night, etc).

I call that a garage or geico. If someone wants your shit and you do not have a way to defend it, its gone.

I agree the security alerts are lame. I'm close to turning off. Every time i try to set a schedule, it says the app isn't responding and won't save the schedule.

Works great for me with my Gen 2 I have it set at about 3/4 it will honk if it detects movement [slap my hand on fender, window or hood] anything above that alarm sounds and app notifies me alarm has sounded and its adjustable to how sensitive it is. More than anything it peace of mind if someone breaks in i will know even if i'm not close.

got it dealer installed when delivered on brand new 19 Can adjust sensitivity occasionally a loud Harley has set it off Twice. On most sensitive setting slapping fender or glass sets it off
Very pleased no complaints was about $200 ish

Any lifting off it goes.
