Yes you will.

If you have a tune, for example, that increases the boost of your turbo by any amount above what the manufacturer set then no one would reasonably expect ford to warranty that part. You caused it to exceed its design limits and it failed. That’s on you.

The fact that you have had well-designed tunes for years and have not had any issues means that you have been lucky so far. It does not mean that the manufacturer is required to warrantee your truck that is operating beyond the limits of its design due to your actions.

If you believe that the limits set by Ford are the “design limits” then you have never heard of the EPA. Again, just because you have a tune does not mean your warranty is void in any way.

There is no “luck” of any kind. It’s a scientific and custom calibrated method of safely improving the driveability and efficiency of the engine. 5Star, for example, started their business by tuning gas motor homes. A motor home is not a sports car meant to go fast, it’s meant to go hundreds of thousands of miles reliably. The same philosophy applies with our trucks.

You win, I give up. Your logic cannot be challenged. At least you made me unsub from my own thread. That's actually pretty impressive.

Guys, it’s reality. It’s not assumption or fabrication. I’m not trying to be an a**hole. People shouldn’t be afraid to tune under the false assumptions and fear mongering.

This is about the reply I expected.

Hopefully people don’t take your blind advice and research for themselves. I’ve tuned before and will tune again, but if you aren’t fully prepared to blow up an engine and pay to fix it out of your pocket you’re an idiot. Likely? Not at all. But it is possible.

*****' a right buddy!

I’m surprised how many morons are able to afford a truck like this!! The Trump economy is legit, all the sheep have $$$ “me want truck, best truck, never owned truck don’t know shit about truck but me want fastest most expensive truck” so you want a raptor? “Yes! But truck too slow” well sir, ummm, trucks aren’t meant to be “fast”- maybe you should look into tuning it?

Then said moron tunes truck & is surprised when a dealer voids heir warranty. Never in my life have I seen a group of vehicle owners so split down the middle between people who are true gearheads & “get it” vs wannabes who just need the latest & greAtest many of whom have never owned a truck period never mind a modified one.

Bottom line- as many have said- wanna play you gotta pay. Hence why I started a thread asking about “highest mileage tuned Raptors” haven’t had a reply over 10k Miles yet.

Do I think a basic tune is going to blow this motor up? Nope. If I had a “regular” 3.5EB F150 would I be as confident? Negative. If you try to push this motor past Ford GT levels you’re asking for issues IMHO. It’s nearly maxed from the factory. It’s not something to wrench on in your home garage- a LOT more cumbersome & difficult to work on compared to my previous N/A V8 GM trucks.
