Damn I was debating doing this on my gen2 since it’s also black & has stock beadlocks wanted to add a touch of “flair” lol but was really on fence if blue would be too much a contrast but I like how it looks on yours

You know what the name of the color is by any chance?

Nice!!! What color? Did you remove tires before you painted them?

Its bronze gold + a few coats of graphite metalizer over the top. The bronze gold is very gold and I wanted more of a dark satin bronze. I think if I did it again I would try brass monkey.

I did it straight on the car. With plastidip you dont need to remove anything. Just mask the brakes by stuffing garbage bags behind the wheels. The over spray on the tires peels off. It was really easy. Lots of videos on how to do it.

I have done this to many sets of wheels. Its really nice you can change the look of your car in a couple of hours. Holds up really well in general. The only issue ive found is curbing...which has happened on my other car and it will pull the pastidip off. If you keep it matte and dont add a top coat (Metalizer or glossifier) you can just plastidip back over it. Not an issue on the raptor because the tires are so tall.

I honestly have no idea what the name of the color is. I’ll see if I can find out and get back to you.

I was planning to plasti dip mine orange to match the shocks on my 2019 but I'm having a hard time finding a color close enough. I ordered Burnt Copper Alloy from DipYourCar but it was too gold looking next to the shocks.

I may end up wrapping them, but really wanted to do plasti dip so I could change the color out easily or remove it if I decided I wanted something else or didn't like it.

has anyone found any aftermarket beauty rings for the factory beadlocks? have a 2018 with the factory beadlocks and like the look of the machined beadlock ring, just don't really have a need for true beadlocks
