Painting Bumpers

This is probably a dumb question but, I am along time Chevy guy who finally took the jump to a Raptor.

I want to have my front and rear bumpers painted black. Are the two black pads up on the front bumper what handles the forward collision system? If so I obviously would need to not paint those.

the sensor is behind the driver's side pad.

I'd consider linex on the bumper if youre painting it.

Hard to imagine painting the bumpers black looking good. Are you painting the wheel well trim as well? it's currently color matched. Post pics if you would as it's hard to imagine this being a good mod.
