Debating about painting my fenders and bumpers lightning blue to match the truck. A friend of a friend quoted $800 for the work if I do the labor of removing everything and reinstalling.

Two questions, has anyone done this that can give me feedback on if this is a good price or not? And second, does anyone have pictures of a lightning blue truck with this done? -still deciding if I like it as is or color matched more.

thanks!

Plenty of Raptors with painted genders and bumpers on Instagram. I’m sure Facebook has pics as well. I have a gen 1 with color matched fenders. I like it. Looks good.

I think blue would look awesome if you had a blue raptor.

Not huge on the grille but the rest of the truck looks awesome. What a color. I look over my shoulder twice after parking my avalanche grey but I’d walk backwards every time I parked that rig.

haha, thanks...you definitely cannot miss the race red raptors! I really like the grill, it fits perfect. I think they only way they work is if they are painted to match otherwise they look out of place. But to each their own. They are expensive, but since I was not at fault after an accident I didnt have to pay for it.

Yeah not criticizing at all. I like the bold Ford lettering in the oem grille that’s all. They did so much right on these trucks I haven’t changed anything visible. And on my truck, the contrast is necessary. But man. That color. You did well putting more of it on. Nice job.

Mine is at the shop having 3M vinyl wrap being installed on the fenders and bumpers. I decided to go with the wrap instead of paint for resale and trade in value. I will post picks Friday when I get it back.
