I've got one in my jeep, it's fun when the idiots block our roads to let their kids play in the snow,,

@Labraptor - have you considered a wireless microphone for your setup?

I will now, didn't know it was an option. Talked to local company and they are going to install it on the 29th. We discussed having a mic plugin in the bed too so someone could use the pa while standing back there. I need to figure out where to mount everything too. Guess I need to research wireless microphones as well. Good idea Joe, know where to buy one?

You know, I'm not sure how I didn't think of it, why not just use the PA built into your VHF radio? (If you have a VHF installed). If not it wouldn't be a bad time to get one, then you get a radio and pa all in one!

I don't know if there is one out there or not, but figured there probably is.

You shouldn't need an amp if the radio has a built in PA. But I really wouldn't go with a CB. Range sucks and really every non-redneck is using VHF now.
