If you are using the NXT Tech Wax 2.0 it is in no way shape or form a wax. Have used it many times and it is synthetic. Meguires only makes 1 "wax" and it is mostly Carnauba but has a few synthetic adds and is a outstanding product in paste form and in liquid (#26).

The wax I mentioned above will not do anything to plastic except make it look really good I apply all “wax” with a Makita BO6040 using the Meguires SoftBuff 2.0 pad

“Pinnacle Souverän™ Carnauba Paste Wax is the wax for perfectionists, so named for it's dazzling, 3-dimensional depth and unmatched brilliance. Formulated with premium grade carnauba, nature's finest wax, Souverän™ is designed to exceed the standards of the most discriminating enthusiast and collector. In fact, this wax is responsible for the dramatic shines on winning show cars at major concours events, time and time again. Today, Souverän™ still reigns as the ultimate show car wax”

Do you want a picture of the can? lol. Anyways I didn't start this thread for a debate on what you consider "wax" I was just asking for opinions to get it off the plastics.

I had the same issue on my lightning try a firm toothbrush and soap and water that should do the trick

This idea worked great by the way. Went to the dollar store and bought a toothbrush. And put some dawn soap in a bowl of water, did some scrubbing and wipe the area after each scrubbing with a scotts shop towel. Took the white out've the plastic bed rail no problem :waytogo:

or you could have used black magic natural finish protectant and a microfiber cloth

I like to protect and seal my paint then use the "wax" to give it depth and that shine that only wax can. The Pinnacle product can be layered if you really want to turn heads lol... I wax mine every 3 weeks or so. Will be doing it on Saturday along with the wifes, daughter's (who is getting married today btw) and my Shelby. 4 vehicles start to finish starting with clean vehicles so I don't have to stop takes about 3 hours... My process has been refined over the years lol..

I wish their was a place to bring a car, to get it done right

You can use basic original crest toothpaste and a toothbrush too.

Crest toothpaste can also be used on alternator pulleys to deglaze to stop squeals
