The way to do away with ADMs is for everyone to grow a brain and simply not pay them. Just wait. Be patient. Paying ADM, no matter how much money you have, is just ******* stupid. That money is immediately burned when you drive off the lot. Just wait a little bit and don’t give in to instant gratification. It’s very simple.

Every new vehicle losses value as soon as you drive it off the lot. Absolutely with ADM, at MSRP and even at invoice. You could make the argument that paying MSRP, no matter how much money you have, is stupid since you can get it for less if you just wait longer. You're not making that argument though, as you've made a personal judgement as to what is or is not an acceptable amount for you and everyone else to pay.

I've personally never even bought a vehicle at MSRP, and know plenty of people who refuse to buy a new vehicle at all.

This is exactly right. Never in my life would I have thought I would be excited to pay MSRP. Then I decided I wanted this Raptor. It is all relative.

You can't stop people from paying ADM because some people have more money than brains. Like that guy on here bragging about how he can write a check for a Ferrari. Do you think he is going blink at $15K over?

Too bad they aren’t making Raptors in 2022...oh wait. :) The market will saturate eventually
Exactly - these trucks will hammer lots in the near future and I'm in no rush to "be the first" and pay an undeserving amount to XYZ Dealer. I will do my due diligence in reaching statewide and out of state dealers to hopefully snatch a 37" allocation at MSRP or wait - no harm there.

Everyone seems to think they're the exception to the rule... If you want a Gen 3 in 2021 you're paying over MSRP. There will be one or two guys that find a dealer who will do this but almost 100% of people will pay the markup or will need to wait until mid-late 2022. Dealers CAN get $15k over MSRP right now (especially since used Gen 2s are doing for original MSRP) so they WILL. If someone tells you their store isn't doing markups it's because they're misinformed, they haven't even had the conversation internally yet, or they're just plain lying. Most of the cases I've seen so far appear to be that the sales managers and owner hadn't talked yet about whether they're doing markups. One person goes and promises a buyer they won't be because they don't on anything else. Then they do to put the deal together than the owner or GM says "whoa, no no, we're doing a markup on new Raptors." I'll be holding off for a couple years.

I talked to a salesman in Texas yesterday that said they have a black one on order without the 37" package that he will sell at sticker. I am looking to order a Rapid Red one, so that one isn't for me.

I have not dealt with this person previously, but I know more than a few that have and I have never heard anything negative. I can get you the contact info if you would like.
