Livernois has a pretty decent rep in the mustang world in terms of motors/tuning. Mmr has been drug through the mud recently with some pretty damning accusations. Sure, no company is perfect. But they came in the thread and made it 100 times worse in a very public/highly viewed thread. Why not just come out and ask livernois why the extra money for the tune? It sounds like the reason you've mentioned, which is understandable.

Livernois has better customer service and their pricing is adjusted for that. MMR probably makes just as good of a product but doesn't have the customer service that Livernois has and MMR's pricing shows that. MMR does their best, but people give them a bad rap because they bought MMR thinking that it was Livernois.

Living here in Detroit and going to livernois/ Detroit speed shops all my life I can assure you they are not known for customer service. Having said that I myself have never had an issue however I witnessed a few things I didn't like. Number one is if your not ready to drop at least 2gs on parts they don't wanna waste time with you. I get where they are coming from but if you don't want those customers stop selling normal speed parts (headers, carbs, etc.). There was a time when livernois was known in this area for blowing cars up on the Dyno. It probably only happened once and was blown out of proportion but that was the word on the streets. They have since turned that image around. I think mmr could do the same. We are running their rotating assembly up over 1000 rwhp in a coyote without issue
