I like sunroofs. I went ahead and had limo tint done on it this way the shade is always open on any day with out any glare. I just feel without it, its like sitting in a bunker. Do what you want it is not going to add a whole lot of resale value in the truck market.

I look at it like this... the sunroof might leak or rattle, or it might not. The metal roof certainly won't (if it does, you've got bigger problems).

I ordered mine without it. I didn't think I'd use it, and figured I'd use that money for other things. The cabin on the SCREW is huge compared to my other vehicles (corvette, Evo X) so I already feel like there is too much light coming in lol. I need to get it tinted.

That being said if you use it, it's glorious lol. It really is a nice huge sunroof.

I really wouldn't worry about resale. You are going to pay 1200 for it up front, and you aren't going to get 1200 for it when you sell it (though it might make it easier / faster to sell). It is still going to add to loss.

Had one on my Gen 1, and I have one on my Gen 2. Panoramic is awesome!!! That being said, Scab will come with the smaller version like I had in my Gen 1. I use them all the time. Opening the roof and the sliding black glass to let the air in while cruising down the highway is the best. Great way to cool off after the gym too. Never had any issues with leaking or light getting past the shade on either of them.

I'm on the fence about getting a sunroof in a new scab or not. I did a search and see there are some issues reported from some members in here. Didn't seem like too many though. Is it nice to have and mostly problem free or just a source of a pain in the ass down the road? I plan on keeping it a long time. Thanks for any feedback.

As far as I recall, there was only a single complaint from a G2 owner and that was because in final assembly Ford forgot to connect the drain tubes. No one else has complained about G2 sunroofs leaking. Of course that could change as guys beat the shit out of their trucks off-road and tweak the alignment of their cab. But that is more of a use case than problem with the sunroof.

I got all of my Raptors (2012, 2014, 2018) without the sunroof. This didn’t seem to effect resale on the 2012 and 2014 whatsoever. Incidentally, my wife drives a 2016 Volvo XC90 and its sunroof leaked a while back during heavy rain. Luckily this was a known issue and Volvo quickly replaced the entire sunroof unit. Hasn’t leaked again since, knock on wood.

Heavy, breakable, rattles, leaks, hot in the summer, and best of all, you get to pay extra for all that. No thanks. Get what you want- or don't want in this case.

Took my Raptor off road yesterday with the sunroof wide open. Zero rattles. Zero rattles with it closed too. Not that it is easy to tell since the KO tires kick up so many rocks it sounds like I'm driving through a hail storm.
