I I've used those 9500ci's and they are hands down the best. I hate having a detector on the windshield because it doesn't look stock which is why I like these so much.

Love it man. I was looking at Focal's new Flax 3 way setup. How do you like the MS-8?
Ive been eyeing a Mosconi 6to8 to use.

The MS-8 is seriously amazing. Its so simple, so easy and so perfect for what I needed. Any old stereo junky will tell you that a Rockford Symmetry was the best EQ processor back in the day before the car audio world even knew what a processor was. The MS8 is like a modernized Symmetry. I never thought I'd own a JBL product let alone love one lol..

In regards to price i've gotten numerous PMs about replicating this setup...here is my blanketed response lol..

My system is pretty much the highest level of competition components you can buy. No normal person would spend as much as it would cost to do this lol. In a previous life I competed nationally for stereo sound quality. As a result I have contacts still in the industry that were able to semi-sponser the truck getting me all the components at below cost and installation with a big hookup. To replicate my exact setup you're looking north of $15,000 which is about 3x what I have in it.

Back in my day I used to compete car audio. I won a lot of trophies and I destroyed a lot of ear drums (including my own). I grew very tired of bass but never lost my love for SQ. I'm 31 now but feel like an old man at times however, when I got my Raptor I knew the stock stereo sucked so bad it needed to go fast. What started as a simple setup ended up pretty complex but in the end looks like it doesn't exist at all.

Not saying I'm the first to do a setup using the jack-well as a sub enclosure but I couldn't find anyone else that has tried it so I'm gonna stake claim lol. It doesn't rattle your teeth by anymeans but it has enough bass to think there is a 10" back there and has loads more bass than stock. Also frees up more floor space for the dogs. Need to put the grilles on still.

Headunit - Factory

Processor - JBL MS8

Front Stage - Focal 165KRX3 (3 Way components - Tweet in a-pillar, 3" midrange behind custom grilles mounted in door, 6.5" midbass in factory door speaker location) - Bi-Amped using 4 Channel.

Rear Stage - Focal 165KRC (coaxial 6.5 in rear door)

Subs - 2 JL 6w3 in custom fiberglass enclosure in rear jack well

Amps - 2 JL 600/4 HD - 1 amp used for front stage (bi amped) and 1 amp for rear speakers and subs.

Sound Deadening - Whole truck gutted, Every inch covered.

Radar/Laser - ****** 9500ci with new Max Radar system. Display mounted right up by gauges, fits perfect and gives a nice digital speedo readout

All installation done by RockstarDesigns in Houston Texas. Rocky Rico is the man with an attention to detail I've trusted for over a decade. Sounds incredible.

Anybody happen to save a picture of this particular sub setup?
