2011 Screw, back up camera. This issue is sometimes the red/green/yellow lines are there... most times they are not. Sometimes just the dotted black line is there for the towing (even when I’m not in tow mode) the most times not.

most any given day when I back out the driveway, the camera is just there with no lines. The other day I was reversing out of a parking lot in Costco and all of a sudden the lines are back...

So what am I doing not doing to make them show??

My camera started doing this. Then it started occasionally not turning on at all (error on display). Then it stopped working altogether. I had to replace it. FYI, on a 2011 the Ford Oval WILL break when you remove it to swap out the camera. I replaced the whole housing with the 2013+ version. It looks identical, bolts up all the same, but the oval to housing attachment uses metal clips that won't break any time you remove it. There are a couple threads about it, but that's the Cliff notes.

Ford just recalled all 2020 models for backup cam issues. Wish they would go back in time too...

Rear camera just recently started doing this: When I put the truck in reverse the backup camera comes on as expected. But it will remain on when I put it back in drive until I'm moving forward till about 5 Mph. Any ideas? Should I try a master reset on the Sync? Sync was updated to the new version about a month or so ago. I's a 2019 802A.

Well, first, this is the Gen 1 section. I believe they are different cameras and systems. However that's the Gen 1 behavior - it stays on until about 5mph. It's quite handy in my opinion. Does the Gen 2 just switch as soon as you leave reverse?
