I have this same problem and am getting a drivers side new valve cover when I get the phasers replaced once parts come in. @FordTechOne would you recommend replacing both valve covers at the same time or only the one thats cracked? Has anything been updated to prevent the new ones from cracking?

Yes, the original part number was superseded with a revised part.
