Hi everyone. I have a TRD Pro Tacoma and I’ve been off road a few times with it and my 4Runner. Green/Blue trails. I’m considering a Gen2 Raptor and was hoping to hear more from those who have gone off road with theirs.

Besides not being able to do jeep trails due to the size, are there any other limitations for off road use? No, don’t plan on jumping it in stock form :)

All I do on my 4Runner and Tacoma is lower tire pressure and I’m good for most green/blue trails. I’m hoping it’s the same for the Raptor.

I know there are some issues with the rear frame support, does this affect the Gen2 as well?

My wife has a TRD 4Runner and the Raptor will do anything it can do and more, it is a mountain goat! Plus it more luxury by far, get it and don’t look back.

search the forum for Raptor Assault pics and videos. All the trucks easily handle everything at R/A, so from what you plan on asking of it, you should be fine.

Mine is stock and gets jumped monthly, first send was at 300 miles. Like others have said, don't worry so much and enjoy your purchase.

I traded in my 19 Tacoma TRD Pro for a Gen 2 Raptor and haven’t looked back a single day. If there are 100 categories to rank off-road capability, the Raptor wins in 99 of them. The Tacoma’s only advantage was its size. In stock form the Raptor has better suspension, tires, 4wd modes, steering feel, off-road toys (cameras, etc), power, transmission gearing, etc.

The trucks used at Raptor Assault are pretty much bone stock. These trucks are monsters off road. Bigger and badder than any Tacoma.

Raptor basically stock wins class in Baja( yeah Baja tougher than anything you’ll do) then drives 400 miles home from Ensenada to Mesa az.
Raptor the Baja racer pre runner that’s a great all around truck that also thinks it’s a sports car.
Went easy 1500 break in miles and then— trucks way better than me. Jump dunes forest trails big fields only problem is I’m not as tough as the truck
