What is the general consensus on BD lights on the upfitter switches? I see some saying additional relays are needed and some wiring them directly up.

Buy the harness built for the lights, makes install way easier.
No relays needed.

As far as wiring the amber fogs to your headlights, I wouldn’t recommend that. just wire them to one of the aux switches and leave that aux toggle in the on position always. That way you can turn it off if when you want and will be way easier to install to the auxes.

That just depends on which lights. The Squadrons, S2’s, S1’s, XL80’s can all be run on most of the aux switches. The aux switches are rated at 15amps, 10amps and 5amps so you just need to be aware of how much power the lights draw and coordinate with an appropriate switch. Now some of the larger light bars, definitely need a relay.

Does Ford Raptor Lights carry halogen fog lights or just LEDs?
I live north enough that LED fog lights don't get warm enough to self-defrost and quickly lose their effectiveness as they load up with cold road gunk thrown by other vehicles and slush.

Yes. There's still some very good halogen lights out there. KC Hilites, Piaa, etc are still making them.
