Struggle for 4 hours trying to install this. Could NOT get the bolts started. After an hour, I finally got the right bolt to thread on BUT could not get the left bolt to go in. I finally just removed the shroud as I could get my hands under the bracket too push it up as I inserted the left bolt. With the shroud on, the bolt kept pushing the bracket down and it would never thread on. GRRRRR!

A better design would to have the bolts on the bracket inserting upward and just using a nut on top. Going to try again tomorrow BUT I struggled with these bolts.

I’m betting you had same issue as me and the holes aren’t lining up causing the bolt to want to cross thread at an angle. I just drilled the hole in the factory support bracket slightly larger, it only took the slightest bit but it made threading the bolt really easy. I only had to drill 1 of the holes.

Thank you! I did not even think to enlarge the oem hole as it would have made it easier to start the bolt.

Hey @COBB Tuning , when will I be able have the accessport on my truck without it throwing it into limp mode?
Assuming you are the owner of a 2021 F150 with the P061A code and a first name starting with 'B', the development team is aware of your issue and will follow up with you directly via email in the customer support system. We have a '21 F150 3.5 development vehicle and have not yet been able to reproduce the issue you're experiencing, but have a few things left to investigate. Thank you for your patience over the holidays while team members were away from the office - we hope to have a solution available for you and any other affected customers shortly.

I was just thinking about ordering this. Did anyone else have install issues? I don't mind drilling but wondering if the tolerances on the product are slightly off and it might be updated soon or the entire intake was rumored to be getting a redesign from COBB. Any updates on this?

I just installed mine.

Took 20 minutes.

I didn't wait, I immediately drilled the holes bigger. Not sure how they fit stock..

I'd love an entire intake.

On another note... Would anyone have any idea why I have a COBB sticker on my intake? I mean that, what part could have been installed from COBB? I don't see many options and that's the only COBB thing I can find, is a sticker...

It’s not the “product”, it’s the “installer”. You must make sure the nut plates line up with the holes in your truck. The piece is easily bent so you may need to tweak it a few times to fit your truck. If you decide to try and force the screw(s) into it, you will fail. Take your time and pay attention to what you're doing.

Ham-handed goons need not attempt it.
