Isn't there more to the offroad mode than just the shift points? What about keeping the locker engaged and the nannies that are significantly desensitized...

i noticed issues also. i have a 5 star tune and when i switch to off road mode the truck seems much less responsive and the peddle is like mush. I prefer to leave off road mode off but doesn't off road mode also change braking, traction control, and other things besides shift points and tuning?

Call five star. I had them send me an updated tune that adjusts orm to be more responsive. I'm running the tow tune though. If you're running the perf one I'm not sure why you'd use orm.

Offroad mode also changes the way the throttle pedal operates, which is why it would feel like mush. I believe it is suppose to work as a speed request instead of torque request when in normal mode.

I already made my point as to what I thought was the reason to run offroad mode, I was hoping that someone can back it up with actual facts.
I know that if I'm running dirt in offroad mode, and hit the hiway, once I disengage offroad mode.....holy hell, like my truck woke up!
I think there's more to tuning these in offroad mode, hence the lack of any advertised performance with the top tuners, using offroad mode. I have yet to hear of any tuners mess with those parameters. Anyone?

Have you tried calling five star yet? They're pretty knowledgeable about what they can do there.

Speed request, ie you hold the throttle at a set position you get a set speed.
