The harness comes with all the correct clips and tiedown points. To do it right I am going to remove the entire console. Plus it lets me do all the work on the bench while watching the football game.

Add another part to the list. The ETAC module. The current one doesn't even have the place for the 3rd plug. This could be a good thing.

I can say I am 100% positive that the 2014's cone with an LED in the console bin. It is a single color with only 2 pins.

So do you think you'll be able to control this from the touchscreen when you're done? If so, I'd definitely consider doing this, as well.

Thanks for sharing all this info with us!

Here's a quick look at how to properly install the wiring harness.

Remove the console from the vehicle. There are several video's that show the procedure. Find a good place to work where things won't get scratched.

The wiring harness is concealed by the HVAC Ducting. This will need to be removed. First you must remove the rear console trim. Two screws and then pull trim panel off. Disconnect the 12v and 120v connections.

Remove the HVAC duct to expose the existing wiring harness. You will see that notched hole where the factory console light resided. This will be replaced with the multi-LED light from the ambient lighting.

Use the existing wiring harness as a guide for the new harness. The new harness has all the correct clips to attach it to the console so that it won't rattle. Be sure to secure the original Storage Box wiring to the new harness so that you won't have a rattle. Re-assemble the console and place it back into the vehicle.

Hmmm... so the center console storage bin light is replaced with a multi-color LED and will change with the rest of the ambient lights? It seems like you'd always want that one to be white. The Harley Davidson truck that I got my ambient lights and harness from had a white only LED inside the center console storage just like what your and my 2014 truck came with.
