It looks like I'll be removing the IP stack. I want the install (even behind the dash) to be as close to factory as I can, so to run the wiring harness correctly, and to secure it so there are no rattles I'll have to remove everything to do it right.

I used the cup holder from a 2014 F-150 Platinum.

Just waiting on the wiring harness to arrive.

The new harness arrived today. It also has the LED for the center console.

Sorry if I missed it, but what year is your truck? Did you already have a LED inside the center console?

2014, June 2014 Build at Dearborn Plant.

There is a light in the rear of the console storage, I cannot say if it an LED or not. Gives a warm glow. I will know when I remove console and install wiring harness.

Ok. It's a LED. So you haven't looked at the harness that goes to that light to see if it has any of the other ambient LED harness yet?

Will know in a couple of hours. Going to remove the console. Looks pretty strait forward with the exception of the shifter cable. Need to look that one up in the manual. I'll take plenty of pictures.

You shouldn't need to disconnect the shifter cable unless you plan to 100% remove the console from the truck. If you disconnect the front and rear bolts, you can pull the center console back a few inches... plenty of room to access the screws that attach the center stack and IP parts. Pretty sure you can remove the rear panel of the center console without unbolting the center console at all.
