OEM Ford Back-Up cam install possible?

Hey guys just picked up my Raptor last week (finally). Anyway I have the nav screen but no back-up cam, which is pointless to me. Either way it is possible to grab one off of ebay and install. I have read some mixed answers where i'd need to flash the ecm and grab all the right codes. Just need some clarification. Thanks.

Its part of the trailer brake controller package or at least it was in 2011. Thats how mine ended up without it

2012 was the last year you could order options al a cart. 13 and 14 it came with 801a

Yeah, when I test drove it and I put it in reverse nothing came up on the screen I was like what the ****. Lol. Cant have it all I guess though.

So if you wanted to do this on a 13 or a 14, would you have to add everything the 801a comes with? I'm confused on how this works.

yes. when i first started looking for a truck, i was looking at ordering a 12. i could order items as i wanted. however when i was ready to order, the 12's were no longer being allocated and when i built my new truck, i had to get the 801a to get everything else i wanted. and all the crap i didnt want too

i didn't get the 801a, so no big screen, would it be possible to add the oem rear camera and get the rearview mirror from the earlier years and have it show up there?

I would think that is possible. My didn't come with a Nav but the stealership ordered & installed one on my Raptor. Now both the mirror & nav system have the rearview display. Some times the Nav system fails to display, especially after have a heavy rain, but the display in the mirror always works. The stealership had to contract out the install since they had nobody in the service department that was "Noah" Certified.
