Oem BL wheel owners-remove beauty rings for new tires?

Personally I would invest the 10 minutes on each end and remove and install myself and know there won't be any issues. Issues like some knucklehead using a hex head bit and ruining a lot of things.

That's me....I do the R&R everytime for tire removal/change.
I use my 3/8" drive M12 cordless and T40 driver, I crack them loose with ratchet and remove with the above gun...I do use anti-seize and run them down with my gun, but not too tight..
DON'T loose those bolts....could not find exact replacement thru several hardware places.....Dealer quoted me.......$18 per bolt!

$18! Yikes. Thanks for the replies everyone. I’ll just remove mine myself when the time comes as my track record of things going smoothly when I pay someone to do something is poor.

Dealer handled my recent new tire install—they have a great service tech who really knows these Raptor trucks and always takes care of mine

I'm the owner of Automaster Service center in Ct. I just got my new raptor very excited about owning this truck . A little advice when getting your vehicle serviced or just having your tires done. Make sure the shop u use is equipped with # 1 the right techs. And that they have equipment to do the work. That way if there's an issue you can make them stand by there work. Doing damage to a vehicle is unacceptable work . Ask questions so there's no room for mistakes

Discount Tire took them off to change tires. Unfortunately, they mentioned after calling 6hr later that they couldn't get some of the screws out of the beauty ring and stripped them. Turns out, they didn't have a Torx that size and were using hex-heads.

They would not replace them either. I'm sure I could have pushed it, but it wasn't worth my time at that point.

It wasn’t worth $1882.83 of your time? That’s the retail price of each wheel at the dealership FYI!!!!

This reminded me of an issue I had when replacing the tires on my wife’s Lexus GX460. I took it to the dealer as they had surprisingly good tire pricing and figured they could do it without ******** something up......wrong. All 5 wheels had a fine scratch around the lip of the wheel that was through the paint. They offered to have the alloy wheel guy repair them. I told them that was not acceptable so they replaced them with brand new wheels. Who knows how many other customers got damaged wheels as well. I think I’ll take pics of each wheel the day I get any tire work done as well as remove the beauty rings myself before taking it in.

The bottom line is every guy who DOESN'T remove those rings will be hitting himself in the head when they do get scratched at a shop....

I got my set off ebay, and they came brand new.
Got it installed today at a local GY and they did a good job.
Prior to that, I spoke and showed the manager that the rings are removable.
(they removed the rings and re-installed them. No scratches on the rings,
only one bolt was scratched, so Im happy)
Also, the TPMS works and they actually inflated all 4 tires at correct psi.
