OEM Beadlocks

Question – Can you remove the beauty rings on the 2017/18 OEM capable bead lock rims and simply place the OEM bead lock rings in its place i.e. with tire still between rim lips – or is the bead lock ring substantially thicker than the beauty ring and would then leave a gap between the ring and the tire wall.
The Raptor I am waiting for has these rims and I prefer the look of " real " beadlock and DOT legal

You need the Ford Performance beadlock trim kit.

Yes I know, but I believe that the thickness of the beadlock ring/ rebate for fitting into the rim would result in a gap between the ring and the tire wall once fitted

The beadlock rings stick out about 1/2 inch further. Would look dumb.

If they did it probably didn't last long. There would be a huge gap where the tire is supposed to go and would look pretty funny

Do you know if the OEM beadlocks (came with my 2017 Raptor) would fit on my old 1997 f150?

I'm pretty sure thats a no-go.

No, the 97 only has 5 lug bolt pattern.

Powdercoated Beadlock Rings

Hey guys!

I ordered the Ford beadlock rings and they arrived this week. These rings are SWEET! I had them powdercoated, and got two mounted this evening. I left the inner bead set, so I'm hoping I am still balanced. Not too tricky of a process, just time consuming.

With the lug nuts and center caps painted flat black, I think this looks SO good. I'll take some more outdoor shots tomorrow.
