Shouldnt need to reserve a spot, and its a wristband you get in the morning at the gate to the sand. Only required for driver, I think its $5 or something.

Biggest thing is make sure your flag reaches the minimum height requirement. It has to be an orange pennant style, no exceptions, and must be 10' tall.

Ok - I called the Park office and found out some good info.

Camping is first come, first serve and has been pretty fill lately, but not completely.
Camping with RV hookups / electricity & water is $20/night.
Driving in the park is $10/day/driver. Passengers do not need to pay.
Dogs are permitted, but must be on a leash.
Office hours are 8-4 Mon-Sun.
Park is open 24 hours.
Some camping spots have fire rings, some don’t.
Fire ban was lifted this past Friday.
Charcoal grills are permitted, even if the fire ban is reenacted.
Only alcohol allowed in the campground is beer with a max of 3.2% alcohol.
Alcohol is not permitted in the driving area.
Sand City Campground is adjacent to the park and takes camping reservations (580-824-0569)
