I would be curious to know how well a good ceramic coat would resist pinstriping. A wrap would probably the next best option followed by the total body Line-X (Ultra I think it’s called). Anyone have any ceramic coat success?
I don’t think ceramic coating would make any difference from what I understand or have seen others respond in various forums. The only thing that helps is a physical barrier like Xpel or 3M. Which would still get scratches on it but you could peel it off/replace. Someone coming up with a “NASCAR windshield” approach would be cool. Just stick on the pack on the side of the truck, peel layers off as needed to remove the scratches.

I would really like to hear form someone that has LineXed. It’s a big investment without knowing how it preforms.
I recently saw a Tundra that had been Line-Xed. It looked like spilt f**k. It looked much worse than I had imagined it would. My guess is that it performs well based on how durable it is in beds.

After a couple years of rock chips on my lower doors, I had 3M put on the bottom half of them, that stuff holds up really well.

A Jeep dealership here had a brand new one done. Looked great but man they were proud of it! Saw a picture of a Raptor done in OD Green. Looked pretty good but it was pictures…

I think that Raptor was a Sema truck. I seen those pictures too, they look cool when it’s somebody else’s, but I’m not sure about maintenance and repairs down the road, the cost would be huge and what body shop would want to work on a truck that’s been linex’d. Pita.
