So I am considering dovetailng my rear fenders and perhaps just not putting on a rear bumper. I need the clearance. Am I crazy.

I was thinking of modifying my rear hitch like some of the rear receiver like some of the manufactures are to increase my departure angle. What do you think?

Anybody have any pictures of a truck without the rear bumper? Thx

No rear bumper would make it look like its missing something. Even just a bar across is better than nothing. Also, how do you plan on hiding the end of the frame? Plus, lets say you do need that clearance for coming off a steep incline. If you do hit the only thing hitting is your body or end of your leafs. Not a good thing.

You could do a roll pan style rear with a hinged plate and the hitch behind that. Might be pretty awesome really

Yes, I love baker's rear bumper, it is my favorite bumper out back. But yeah I was thinking something simple like this from Mazzulla. I know it's a chevy, I am a chevy guy at heart.

I found another picture of a truck without a rear bumper
