The reasoning behind the glossy pillars is to make the glass look continuous between the front and back.

I wrapped mine with satin black vinyl. I didn't really like them glossy black because there is no other glossy black on my truck.

I just keep buffing mine and they look good as new.. im just using foam pad on a da buffer, going to just try a heat gun to see if they self repair like some of the PPFs,
