Hi everyone. Just bought a 2018 leadfoot with 25K on it. I cannot stand the stickers on the bed. Please tell me there isn’t an issue with those being removed? I’m worried about paint differences behind the decal since I can’t guarantee it’s been in a garage the whole time.

Anyway, I’ve been lurking a bit and this forum pushed me to take the plunge and get the raptor. Happy I did it. Just need stickers gone. Thanks!!

Depends on a number of factors such as sun exposure, any scratches or chemical spills on the paint, etc., but the factory decals are applied over the paint. You should be able to remove them and a good detail/buffing should eliminate any residual outline or edge markings.

Don’t mean to to come across as condescending if you’ve done this before, but be sure to use a proper heat gun, use plastic tools, and go slowly of course. Frankly, if you haven’t done it before, it’d be worth it to pay a professional to do it...maybe someone who does vinyl wraps or similar. Very easy to screw up your paint if you use the wrong tools or too much heat.

And OBTW, good call on losing the stickers in my opinion... They’re just too much. I can see a practical use for the hood decals if you have A-pillar lights, but even then I’m just not a fan. I even take off all the badging, etc. on most of my vehicles...especially any dealer stickers.
