Just picked up a new Black '12 Raptor SCREW on Saturday. Traded away my Black 2007 King Ranch SCREW 4x4 for the upgrade. I loved the KR, but from the time I saw my first Raptor, I knew I would have one someday. Well the time was finally right, so I pulled the trigger. Talk about a night and day difference between trucks, but thus far, I couldn't be happier with my choice.

Thus far and for the next couple of months, I'll probably keep it stock while I research what direction I want to go with the truck. I'll probably have some questions and ask for some advise on mod's, but I'll wait til after I read thru the forums before I throw anything out...

Edit to add pics:

Here are some Pics from when I picked it up Sep 8th and a few from today (Sep 11th) after I got the front windows tinted, and a little bit of off-roading. And the most important part, the kids approve of the purchase!

Congrats and Welcome! What are the biggest differences you've noticed so far vs your King Ranch?

I'll check out that link, it sounds like an interesting run, and I'll probably try to make the trip down, if I can fit it into my schedule. Thanks for the heads-up!

Congratulations on the new Raptor and welcome to FRF. Post some pictures when you get a chance.

Also, check out this thread: http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f113/everglades-raptor-run-possible-dates-16285/ It's not too far from your location and is a good opportunity to meet some of the other Florida members.

We had a great time at the last event http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f57/south-fla-everglades-hang-out-15440/ even though it was in the middle of a tropical system.

The main difference is the power. When I floor the gas, the Raptor will "squat" and go, where the King Ranch took a while. The ride seems a little bit rougher on the Raptor though, but not a huge difference. But the inside, bell's and whistles are taking a while to get used to. But thus far my favorite is the A/C seats, they took a bit to get used to, but definitely something that is useful int he Florida heat! Also the seats seem to "fit" me a bit better. While I liked the leather of the King Ranch, the seats are more comfortable in the Raptor.

And the biggest difference is that the Raptor just looks fricken mean...lol
