I did my install today myself, started around 9:15 and finished it around 6:15. I did a quick test drive to dinner, I will baby it tonight and get after it tomorrow.

Nice man! Can't wait to hear how it runs.

Whipple SC Install on 2014 6.2 Raptor

During December 2013 I had Jennetty Racing in CT install a Whipple SC and a set of Stainless Works Long Tube Headers on my brand new 2014 Raptor. The Whipple tune would have been a lot simpler except for the Long Tube Headers. It took a trip by their tuner to the shop in CT to finally get things in order, tune wise. The truck runs very strong and Rear Wheel HP went from 340 HP to 545 HP! Torque runs 400 to 500 lb/ft over most of the rpm range. 0 to 60 times are in the low 4's (not bad for 7000 lbs of truck) and 4 wheel drive is a must when whacking it. Around town gas mileage went down to 10/11 from 13/14 and now needs at least 91 octane fuel. I feed it 93 and can pull 15 mpg on trips. The original tune had rear O2's turned off to prevent SEL's and as such the vehicle would not pass my state's emission's inspection. The status monitors for O2 Sensor, O2 Sensor Heater and Cat all continued to show "Incomplete". Whipple supplied a new program with Rear O2's turned on which we programed into the ECU. Rear O2 Spacers were also installed and no red Service Engine Lights have been observed. However the Truck would still not get out of the "incomplete" mode on the ECU. Part of the original Whipple Installation kit was a 160 degree thermostat. On a hunch I removed it and re-installed the original 180 degree one. 45 minutes of driving the Ford OBD Ride Routine with ECT showing 190 degrees and finally all OBD readings showed "OK". Ran the truck through state inspection and passed without a hitch. One other point is that the original Cats that came with the Stainless Works Headers were not up to the task of handling the 6.2's Supercharged exhaust. After 1000 miles they sounded like 2 cans full of marbles suggesting that their inner matrix had loosened up. Ted Jennetty at Jennetty's suggested the brand new Dynatech SuperCats. I agreed and out came the SW's and in went the SuperCats. So far I am greatly impressed with their performance. They are bigger and much Tougher. Working with both Jennettys and Whipple on this project has been a complete pleasure and the results performance wise have exceeded my expectations greatly..... The Raptor is a complete Hoot and more fun to drive than anything I have owned to date.

A point that I failed to make. My installation includes the optional dual fan intercooler. The unit is Hugh and fills most of the space in front of the existing radiator. It does a great job of keeping IAT fairly low when things under the hood get hot. It is a thing of beauty however and in my opinion well worth the extra $'s. The installation of the SW headers was very difficult but was done without pulling the engine. The Whipple kit also was ordered with the High Flow Throttle Body. It's good for several more ponys on the top end. My understanding is that the Whipple Install is speed limited at 100 MPH. This is a good thing because the BIG tires on the truck carry a Do Not Exceed rating of under 120 MPH. It would not be fun if one was to Toss its tread off at speed...

Good info, we do not run the 160* T-stat in the trucks we put together here either. It's simply not required unless your running in much much warmer climates (100*F +) like in the desert. Otherwise the stock unit is perfect and will keep the truck within its preset cooling parameters. On the stainless works cats we have seen this issue before. With both Kooks and ARH we have been able to get many vehicles through state inspection sometimes with the help of 02 non foulers but most often not. The SW cats must be too high flow.

1 size down from the standard pulley in the raptor kit from Whipple. It puts me between 10 & 12 PSI at 6K RPM.

Anyone seen this? 520 RWHP at 8.5 boost

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_9FajGdnGw

That's pretty close to what I have. 527 rwhp @ 8.6 boost. Although I've got an upgraded throttle body and 531 rwtq.

But I'm not getting anywhere close to low 4's in the 0-60. Best I've gotten is 5.2. But that's in 2wd.

Herb, how did you measure your 0-60?
