HI All

Ordered some new wheels - Method NVs in 18x9 with the +18mm offset and new tires - Toyo MT 315/70/18. Local shop will move my truck to midperch on Monday morning and then I will have an alignment done and new wheels/tires put on. Cant wait!

Ordered tires from 4WheelParts - decent deal with shipping at only $49. Ordered the wheels and a set of black Gorilla lugs from Chris @ Freedom Motor Sports who was great to work with and his customer service was outstanding!

I ordered a set of 5 wheels and tires so I can rotate the spare into the rotation and hopefully extend the life and keep wear consistent.

I downloaded an SPL meter app on my phone and have been checking my stock setup - not sure really how accurate it is but so far I have been getting 79db at 60mph and 80db at 70db, radio off, normal traffic on the interstate...full throttle jumps it up to 91db, radio off, stock exhaust but AFE intake with 5Star lid. I will run the app again after the new tires are on to check how much louder the MT's are.

I like the factory rake of my truck and most weekends we are either pulling our boat or have a pair of Moto bikes in the bed along with all the gear and I am not a fan of the prerunner (butt down, nose up) look...reminds me too much of a toddler running around with a loaded diaper :) So I also ordered a new block kit for the rear that adjusts from a 1" lift over stock to a 1.5" or 2" over stock - my plan is to the have the shop first do the midperch in the front and we will measure how much the height increased, then have them put the new blocks in the back at the same height increase to keep the factory rake. Block kit I ordered was: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/prl-52-3000f It arrived yesterday and I have never messed with blocks before but I was shocked at how heavy the box was - shipping weight listed on the box was something like 39 lbs...my wife went to carry in the box from the front door and was like WTF did you order lol. Only thing that I am not totally pleased with at first is the U-bolts - they are the yellow/gold zinc coated, I am sure they will rust in like 4 days. I am hoping the shop doing the perch mod will have some other ubolts that are black colored that we can use instead.

Will post some pics once everything is completed on Monday. I am going to stay at the shop while they do the work and I think they will let me take some pics as they go along. Shop doing the work is Automotive Concepts (Thanks Bussy for the referral!) and they have worked on Raptors before. Plan to get an alignment right after the perch mod as well.

Just a heads up, the factory block is almost 3" tall. So by going to a 1, 1 1/2 or 2" block you will actually be lowering the rear. Unless you plan on stacking the blocks which I highly recommend you do not try. You're best best would be to get a set of new leafs built.

PS going mid perch wont level your truck anyways. The factory rake is 2-2.5" and mid perch is approximately 1" higher in the front leaving a 1-1.5" rake

sorry I guess I didn't word my post carefully...the block kit lists the lift ABOVE the factory block heights so 1" would be a 4" block, 1.5 would be a 4.5" block, etc. The kit is kind of unique - there are multiple pieces that interlock together in different patterns to get the height you want. The kit is tapered just like the factory block as well. I would never stack an aftermarket block with the factory block, to risky but I think the design of this kit is pretty neat.

My baby is in the shop undergoing her plastic surgery as I write...front mid-perch is done, brought the front up by about 1.5", I am going to have them adjust the blocks in the rear kit I bought to be a 1" rear lift over stock so I should still be raked but by about 1/2 inch less than factory. Will post some pics as soon as she is done. Had some issues getting my wheels so won't be able to have the Methods and Toyos put on until Wednesday or Thursday (hopefully).

Here are a couple pics of my extremely dirty truck and super crappy cell phone pics. Mid perch on front, +1" over factory block in the rear. Had some issues getting my wheels to my door so stock wheels/tires in these pics, will hopefully get the Toyo's and Methods installed later this week and can post new pics with them on.

Parking lot is a little sloped so the side shot pic is a bit deceiving, from measurements rear is 1.25" higher than front, measuring to the top of the wheel well from the ground. Oddly, on my before and after pic, the drivers side is about 3/8" lower than the passenger side.

That explains the long wait. I'm in NV so anytime I order something it usually comes out of the westcoast and gets here in a day. Hang in there, I'm sure it'll be worth it when it's done.
