New wheel and tire problem

Just installed new method's(zero offset) and 37x12.50's(recon Terra grapplers).

Problem- had the fronts balanced twice now and I'm still getting a shimmy in the steering wheel at 60 mph and above. Stock tires were smooth as butter. Any advice?

take 'em back, balance again. If still no bueno, then the shop should replace the tire that won't balance.

Ok will try that. I figured that's what would have to happen unfortunately

Go to a shop that can perform a road force balance. Make sure you tell them to use as much weight as necessary to achieve balance, no matter how much it is. if you look at the factory wheels, there’s probably close to a pound on each wheel.

Ok will do. I took it to an offroad shop. I'll get it rectified hopefully

Aren't Methods some of the wheels that aren't hubcentric unless you run a certain center cap or am I full of ****

It could be hubcentric related, but for what it’s worth I’ve never had a set of 37’s run smooth as butter.

Gotcha. 1st time I've had this issue.. but this is also the first time I've had 37 's as well. My aftermarket wheels on my regular raptor (35's) are smooth as butter.

Larger/heavier the tire, the harder to balance. As Smurf said, Road Force balancer makes all the difference. It’s also able to determine if a tire is defective due to excessive road force variation.
