I waited, or in fact I am still waiting, but I got exactly the truck I wanted so no complaints. And welcome to Raptors Anonymous.

From what I hear the 6.2L has plenty of power, so I think I'll buy new and the order the super charger kit later. Some have even said that the supercharger might be too much for off-road use. I don't see myself driving 100 mph off-road, however I've never driven a Raptor but at least I'll know that I can. Can't wait for the next Texas Raptor Run!!

:welcome: to the forum! Supercharged would be too much power for our use of a raptor. We got the 5 star performance tune and it eliminates the hesitation. Last time I drove it I had trouble keeping it below 80... Speed limit is 60. I say get the truck first and if you still want to supercharge it, you can order the kit and have it installed at a Ford dealer they can recommend. Took a tour there at last years snoball and also learned that the base level kit does not void your warranty..good luck!

:hmm:Which one has the better warranty??
Also, if you are not going to service the vehicle . .
Then, better to establish a friendly relationship with :handshake: the Dealer
regardless of a couple hundred dollar savings.

Thanks to all that have shared your experiences and knowledge. I finally got to test drive one yesterday. Glad I came back here to check because the dealer I went to had a "market adjustment" of $5k over MSRP, that is total BS. I found the forum of dealers selling at or near invoice to be very helpful. I'll begin the ordering process soon: Race Red, 801a, moonroof, tailgate step, bed extender, spray in bed-liner, Front/Rear camera, & hood graphic.

Mods I'm considering are Roush CAI, and Roush Exhaust.

Well I am new here but I bought the Roush Phase 1 in January from dealership (AZ) and can answer questions you have about how that went. Roush is sent the ECU for programing for apparently a default mapping. Haven't had it dyno tested but think it runs about 97% what it should...seems like a little off at high RPM. Although could be the junk 91 octane gas is AZ...or the darn heat. If installed by factory you retain the original Ford warranty not sure if you do it yourself if you loose the Ford warranty and only have the Roush warranty for their components and not the drive line from Ford. Phase 2 only cost about $600 for parts but you loose Ford warranty...can't bring myself to do that yet but so tempting. BTW, the dealership wants about $1200-$1500 to install and gave me some story about an additional $1500 they would keep the factory warranty for drive line. As always with dealerships, I get a different answer everytime I talk to them. Just a brief history with what I have experienced and as far as in AZ I would recommend going to a Ford dealership who is licensed with Roush and you won't have to wait 3 months because they will want to sell the upgrade and push you ahead of someone else or most likely they have at least one sitting on the floor with the Roush package so people can hear ti in the showroom. Good luck you will love it if you can finally find one.
